The mission of Military & Veteran Services is to continue the institution’s founding purpose of serving North Carolina’s military affiliated students.  We accomplish this by facilitating educational opportunities while consistently providing outstanding customer service.  By continually striving for the success of our students, we help enrich their lives while building a strong sense of community among Charlotte students.

To Be Eligible

You must be at least a 3/4-time student in a college degree, vocational, or professional program here at Charlotte as well as under the following programs:

  • Post-9/11 GI Bill®--(Chapter 33) (Veterans and transfer-of-entitlement recipients)
  • Montgomery GI Bill®--Active Duty (Chapter 30)
  • Montgomery GI Bill®--Selected Reserve (Chapter 1606)
  • Dependents’ Educational Assistance Program (Chapter 35)
  • National Call to Service Participants
  • Veteran Readiness & Employment Program -- (Chapter 31)

How Much Do You Earn?

You’ll earn an hourly wage equal to the Federal minimum wage or your State minimum wage, whichever is greater.
