Kat Denson serves as the Interim Program Manager within Military & Veteran Services at Charlotte. A U.S. Army veteran who served four years as a combat medic in El Paso, Texas, she brings a broad perspective shaped by her own service, marriage to a Navy veteran, and being the daughter of a retired service member. Kat earned her degree in organizational communication from UNC Charlotte in December 2025 and has extensive experience in peer mentoring and student support roles. Her work centers on building supportive communities, improving access to resources, and advancing collaborative, student-centered leadership that empowers all military-affiliated and nontraditional students to succeed.
