UNC Charlotte offers dedicated support for military‑affiliated students throughout the admissions process. 

For assistance with applications, documents, or general questions, you may schedule an appointment with Elizabeth Beattie, Program Director for Outreach.

Students planning to transfer credits can also meet with the University Transfer and Adult Student Center for a pre‑advising transcript review of their Joint Service Transfer/CCAF and/or college credits earned at another institution.

Application Fee Waiver and Priority Registration

As part of our commitment to those who serve, UNC Charlotte proudly waives the application fee for all U.S. Service Members. Priority Registration is given for all GI Bill users, veterans, service members, and ROTC cadets.

  1. Apply through the Graduate School website, where you can explore programs, requirements, and deadlines. 
  2. Review application instructions and submit all materials directly through the Graduate School portal. 

UNC Charlotte proudly waives the application fee for all U.S. Service Members. To request a waiver, check the box on your application and upload the required proof of service. 

Some VA VR&E Counselors will ask for differing levels of paperwork to get approved during the admissions process. 

  • If your counselor is asking for a degree audit before your admission to the university, please contact the University Transfer and Adult Student Center.  
  • If you have been admitted, use Degreeworks in the “my.Charlotte.edu” portal to download a copy of your degree plan. 
     
  • If your counselor is asking for a tuition bill, visit (Niner Central Tuition Worksheet) or the Finance Hub in the “my.Charlotte.edu” portal to download your statement.
